Love Your Neighbor: What It Actually Looks Like in 2026

“The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”– Mark 12:31

Love your neighbor sounds simple until your neighbor is difficult. Until they have different politics. Until they play music too loud at midnight. Until they post things on social media that make your blood boil.

But Jesus did not say love your neighbor when it is convenient. He said love your neighbor, period. And He modeled it by loving people who actively tried to destroy Him.

In 2026, loving your neighbor might look like putting down your phone and having a real conversation. Bringing groceries to the single mom next door. Praying for the coworker who irritates you.

Love is not a feeling – it is a decision. And every decision to love, no matter how small, echoes into eternity.
