Praying When You Do Not Know What to Say

“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.”– Romans 8:26

Have you ever sat down to pray and had absolutely nothing to say? The words feel stuck. The ceiling feels low. The silence feels heavy.

Here is the good news: prayer is not a performance. It is a relationship. And in every relationship, sometimes you just sit together in silence. God is not grading your prayers for eloquence.

The Holy Spirit intercedes for you even when your words fail. Your sighs are prayers. Your tears are prayers. Your honest I do not know what to say, God is a prayer.

Do not let the enemy convince you that your prayers are not good enough. Just show up. God meets you where you are, not where you think you should be.
